Hassan Trad Ghalim is a member of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) militia Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, also known as the Khazali Network, making reference to leader Qais Khazali. On February 12, 2022 Iraqi security forces arrested Ghalim in Al-Karima, Maysan. Ghalim is responsible for 406 premeditated murders and 421 kidnappings of judges, civil society activists, law enforcement officers, among others. He also owns a farm on the border with Iran which he used to smuggle drugs into Iraq. 

Ghalim had confessed multiple crimes including the attempted assassination of a local judge Harith Jabbar, who had issued an arrest warrant against Ghalim and his associates. Ghalim is also responsible,for the assassination of judge Ahmad Faisal Al-Saiedi, writer and activist Amjad Al-Dahamat, actor and director Abdulqudus Qasim, and lawyer Karar Adil, among many others.
